Vigolo, at 616 metres above sea-level is the enchanting starting point for this itinerary leading to the discovery of one of the most interesting territories of the Lower Sebino.
Leaving the car in the carpark below the S. Rocco church, and ascending the road that crosses the village, we find a bridle-way on the right (way-sign 704).
This track takes us through a hazelnut wood to then become a rocky footpath sending us into the thick pine wood on Colle Cargadura. Following way-sign 701, towards Colle Dedine, the panorama becomes magnificent (Monteisola and Lake Iseo) and accompanies us to the top.
Here, it becomes even more amazing because of the view of the Valle del Guerna and the hills of S. Fermo. The descent towards Vigolo begins here, however the more adventurous can continue to the summit of Mount Bronzone, on a rather tortuous and tiring path.
At the peak, the effort is immediately rewarded by view to the horizon that is particularly impressive towards the plain.
The descent is through pastures, fields, and farmhouses (way-sign 727) until we meet the bridle-way above the “Case Vecchie” farmhouse which we take to the left. We now proceed until meeting the road leading to the “Cascina Pirù”, where we turn right to reach the impressive Valle delle Tombe.
When we get to the tarmac road, we continue to the right to find the “Cascina Didì” agri-tourism centre. Along the road, we turn left after a rustic building to pick up the bridle-way again which ascends not without fatigue to Vigolo, coming out a place close to the car-park.
